Amruta Kshemkalyani, a mechanical engineer by trade and a certified sustainability consultant, specialises in sustainable design and the built environment, as well as business sustainability. She is founder and managing director of AK Sustainability Advisory, Sustainability Tribe, and #ZeroWasteUAE Social Initiative.
What is Amruta doing to regenerate the planet?
Amruta has spent the last 15 years assisting several organisations in integrating sustainability into their operations. For the past 14 years, Amruta has also encouraged people to take action on climate change through her work educating the public.
Amruta also serves as an advisor to global environmental groups, an honorary judge for numerous global sustainability awards, and collaborates with the University of Cambridge in the UK. Amruta has been featured in various regional and international media outlets and is recognized as one of the 50 people contributing to UAE’s growth and is regarded as the UAE's leading environmental thought leader.

Sustainability Tribe has brought a significant impact on society. More than 420,000 individuals are inspired and took positive actions cumulatively saving 600,000+ MWh energy, 12 million cubic meters of water and diverted 100,000 tons of waste from landfills as per a survey conducted in Dec 2020. Additionally, around 31 zero-waste businesses responded that they were inspired by our widely popular #ZeroWasteUAE social initiative. Sustainability Tribe has gained popularity as well as credibility regionally & internationally for its simplified, authentic, and action-oriented knowledge sharing.
