It's important to acknowledge that individual action has been used as a diversion tactic by the fossil fuel industry. We need to take personal and collective responsibility at the same time. For personal action, understanding our own emissions is a great first step when it comes to mobilising as a community in working towards a net zero future.
Once we understand the areas in our life that demand more carbon, we can take actions (big or small) to help you reduce our footprint. This is not about being perfect or feeling guilty, but empowering ourselves with an overall awareness so that we can make informed daily decisions. We also recommend that you research and explore resources and calculating tools that might be available for your local community as well specifically for the industry and sector that you work in.
The below resources are a great starting point. If you know of any other groups or resources that should be included here, please share your ideas.
